I'd go full on random just so each time it plays completely differently. I've played the original game so many times that I know it by heart. It'd be nice to play something completely different but with the same gameplay. Zelda Outlands is a good hack for that. But randomness in Zelda is like randomness in ToeJam and Earl, and that game has a randomizer built into it. This is just making it more like that minus not being able to see what items you have in your inventory.

Touhou has a really neat setting because it's kind of this isolated pocket land that's stuck in feudal Japan as it constantly is dealing with intruders and instigators that threaten the peace of said land. Also it takes place parallel to our times.

The same studio that made Touhou Luna Nights made a couple more metroidvanias that are pretty good too, one in the Shin Megami Tensei universe and the other in the Record of Lodoss War universe. It's a shame Vinny won't play them because I'm sure he'd love the latter game, as it's heavily inspired by Symphony of the Night and very light on the anime stuff.

i like how in the Legend of Zelda, there is an overgrown overworld, but in these dungeons, that might have been there before Zelda was a princes, they have perfect squares architecture inside, like they were made by an advanced civilization before Link was born where they were masters of math , much like how in the tv show, Ancient Aliens, they will go to ancient structures and you can see perfect mathimatically laid out blocks on the bottom level and then sloppily added on rocks on top, showing where humans added onto the ancient alien buildings.

the manji reverse symbol was on the gold capstone on the top of the Great Pyramid at Giza, it is the letter H in the Egyptian Alphabet, and in the tv show, they found out the Great Pyramid at Giza actually makes Hydrogen if you pour certain things down the side shafts and Hydrogen shoots out the upper shaft , maybe into a space ship?
