I remember as a kid not being able to figure it out, because I think I never found the Song of Time before the moon would crash into the planet. I knew it could be done, the game, I just didn't know how since I hadn't yet discovered the joys of the internet. I still have not finished the game.

Thanks to some of Vinny's videos I find myself unable to take some of these scenes seriously. This reminds me of the corruptions videos he did on the original game, and also the Sonic hack. Also as soon as I saw Tingle I burst out laughing, Vinny's "OOOOHH" and wonderful voiceacting for Tingle did NOT help.

Zelda II is such an incredible game concept that somebody NEEDS to revisit. The closest thing we've got to this concept is Shovel Knight and (maybe???) Super Paper Mario, and arguably the Metroidvania genre shares a lot of elements with Zelda II, but I want a game that sticks closer to its RPG gameplay mechanics, expanding upon the games shortcomings (the bland overworld, for example) while still being unique in its own right. Imagine a Mario game that fuses the tradition sidescrolling action with RPG mechanics--without the limitations of the NES to hold it back, it could be one of the best Mario RPGs ever, right up there with TTYD and BIS!
