Okay, so to give a grossly simplified explanation of who Ken Penders is: He was a writer for the Archie Sonic comics, he wrote alot of very weird/odd material that most readers didn't like (like green jesus knuckles walking on water (I'm dead serious)) and was later fired after Sega realized he's writing weird/bad shit, and then got involved in a lawsuit or 2 with Archie/Sega and now owns a bunch of characters he technically created but weren't actually good/beloved by people until future writer Ian Flynn made them actually good I might have gotten some things wrong, but that's the very basic gist of it
