@@zacksguitarhacks6390 Every job you have to watch how you behave that’s called being an adult, majority do not in fact have the luxury to be in autopilot and listen to hours of twitch streams except very specific jobs if we’re talking something like a security guard. Being a streamer is easily 99% less stressful than a real job it is the streamer who decides their hours, it is up to them what controversies they get into. They are their own boss. If it’s too much they can just stop and come back whenever they want to no one is forcing them to be an entertainer.

My only complaint with the Switch's hardware is that it's not QUITE powerful enough to do 1080p consistently. With a few exceptions like Splatoon and Luigi's Mansion, otherwise beautiful games have to be smeared by my 1080p TV's upscaling algorithm. Full 1920x1080 images are literally all I want out of the Switch 2.

I had that Logitech controller that the bomb squad guy was using, and I actually like that one, emulated a lot of games with it, about as competent as a ps2 controller, tbh. With Logitech it's hit and miss and you get what you pay for... But that sub one is, like, the one your cousin gives you when they can't stand the idea of you beating them at their own video game when you visit them at their house.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I don't think a Chrono Trigger Remake made like he Live a Live one would be enough. I think Chrono Trigger is such an important game it deserves an FFVII R type of treatment, even if there's changes to the story (maybe just don't make it three parts though)

The whole sub thing and some of the discourse around it is disgusting to me. Mainly the people who wanted the people in the sub to die. I do think that everyone on it was extremely dumb, without a doubt. The fact that someone would even step foot in that deathtrap, let alone spend a quarter mill doing such, is a buffoon. No, I don't think them being rich means they need to die. Sure they are treating the Titanic, which is basically a mass grave, as a tourist spot, but I'm going to be honest, I don't care. Using that as a reason for them to not return is gross. If I had the chance to see the ship in person, then yeah, maybe-- but not as a one-way trip to hell and I wouldn't even trust a good sub to return. There's a sort of respect you should have, but at the end of the day none of that matters. Not once the sub was lost, anyways. We could talk about that otherwise... Not that anything is going to change now, unfortunately. Again, I think they are beyond stupid for even considering taking the sub. But imagine being on it. Imagine a loved one being on it. I'm reminded of that recent tragedy of the (I think) baseball up and comer jumping off the cruise ship. Regardless of the details, the situations that they are in, best case scenario (other than being saved, obviously) were killed instantly and quickly. Because just thinking of the absolute hell, the beyond worst ways to die, gives me shivers. I hate the ceo, I don't care about him, but I still don't want the others to just die. The people who make it seem like "just desserts" for the passengers. Or that it's somehow good and that they hope they don't come back-- I know you won't read this, but you're a psychopath. I truly, truly believe that. It has the same energy of gleefully pressing that hypothetical button that kills a random person on Earth in exchange for a thing, except you get nothing. You are part of the reason the internet comes across like a cesspool of the worst of humanity. I don't feel something for someone I've only seen a single picture for, for like 2 seconds either, but I have enough empathy to know that they are suffering a lot-- unless they are absolute scum, which wouldn't be so bad, I don't know why that would be wished on anyone. Ultimately, I'm not loosing sleep over this any more than the next guy. But I'd really rather people, especially those I don't even know, not die horrible deaths. Unpopular opinion according to chat. Again, they pretty much asked for it, considering how obscenely unsafe the sub was and how unhinged the ceo was, so they -have- had only themselves to blame, but I still didn't want that to happen.

I think some of the apathy and viciousness towards the sub passengers has to do with the fact that, to most people, they're randos they dont know and will never know. And if they don't know them, why care? Top this off with the Internet's oldest habit, anonymity (even if it's not full anonymity) means you can say rude and/or psychotic things online and get away with it because a) its unlikely anyone irl will know it was you b) theres a perceived level of separation between one's online persona and who they are irl. I'm not going to make the argument that people should care about random people they don't know expiring in a terrible way, nor am I defending the people who are pro-sub passenger expiration for whatever reasons. This is just what I think causes some of this behavior.

What may have made the story popular was that it's newsworthy, it's not everyday rich people are trapped and lost inside a commercial submarine. Although, that doesn't promise engagement, and those wishing they'd die simply because they're rich don't want to hear about it (search: compassion fatigue/emotional burnout, and personally, hyperreality).

For me personally, Reddit always felt more like a bunch of people in some sort of group consciousness than anything else. People on subreddits may vary but few things are practically always in there. Things like repeating exact same, overused phrases and jokes over and over for karma for example. It's just due to how the website is built like in general and how it rewards the user. Though the worst thing for me is that most people just "Adapt" to the commiunity and accept all of their views, not tolerating any other approach, (Again, mostly due to how the website is built around small communities with very strong moderation.) making most people behave like they've found some undisputable truth and circle-jerking with other users while expressing "Their" opinions. Gets especially ugly with politics.

Fighting someone else's fight isn't worth it sometimes. Vinny, and everyone else, wants a world better for everyone, however expending lots of time and effort to have an impact equal to the sound of a drop of rain in a thunderstorm, isn't worth it. This problem isn't unique to Vinny, we all do it. We're all powerless and we just want to make the most of what we have, and Vinny was lucky to be this successful.

Apart from the confusion from the viewers, it just seems disingenuous that they continue to do it for any reason but more views but Vinny didn't get a cut, cold harsh cash for the rights. We all know Vinny will never charge his friends, and that's when they cross the line of taking advantage of Vinny. But that's just me.

Well the alternative is, using your words, Vinny telling his friends they have to pay him a cut of their cash to have some text in front of their names. Discoverability already sucks on Twitch as is; anything helps. It’s not even really in our place to discuss it really. We’ll never know exactly how their conversations on this went, if at all, and that’s fine. I trust everyone was an adult about it.

@@toagradius8856 Vinny has already made his decision anyways, as seen in this very video, he will not tell them to remove it or otherwise. I, personally, wouldn't be comfortable using someones name for profit. But I'm sure this is not a big deal within that circle. This is an unfortunate conclusion and a great example of the butterfly effect, Vinny's lack of action a decade ago now shows it's head with branding confusion, his friends' viewers getting entitled with it and the constant incorrect contact for promotions and sponsors.

It's where your grateful for being lucky fell off by throwing it away for a group of people who might not care as much as your 3,000-10,000 viewers do. Not to mention that you knew that these viewers are eagerly throwing money at you to keep you streaming anywhere, anytime. It's a position where an amount of people more than you could imagine longing to be. What I'm trying to say is if you are bored with streaming and need a break to do something else, then saying so.
