Funny enough this reminded me a lot my ex. She'd even go on Reddit to get "Advice" and by advice I mean complain in a way that'll guarantee everyone to side with her and say I was the problem. I tried seeing it all as a minor inconvenience so because ya know... Getting mad at someone who's always disusing their intent as "Good" means you're the bad person. It was very frustrating, and if I got mad about it then that means I was the problem. She did a lot to me in the beginning, and expected me to get over it. I was forgiving easily and only later on would I get sick of it. I'd play games with friends to avoid arguments I knew would be coming up. Over and over again it would be "I have a problem with you." and "what's wrong?" then "You don't love me" and- It's exhausting just thinking about it. I can either get really infuriated or really tired thinking it through. Getting to the point where I would rather be talking to anyone else but her was when everyone knew it'd be better to leave her. Why I didn't leave them so much earlier? Because it was easier to stay and avoid the argument of the attempting break up again.

forgiving easily seems like a good trait to have at first but it's not it's fucking not. my ex used to isolate and ignore me and come back and say he was just upset which was fine! he should've told me to give him space because not knowing and worrying is painful but it's fine he apologized and i told him, i forgave him, it's fine. he won't do it again. except he did. over and over again and apologizing so much that i don't feel like "sorry" is an actual word anymore. i forgave everytime. ofc you can't leave someone just because of that, i wasn't even thinking of breaking up. one day i just couldn't bother to anymore because i was convinced he didn't care. he yelled at me and told me how much of a hypocrite i was. he posted out of context cropped screenshots on reddit it was so fucking embarrassing he had tons of people agreeing with him and he apologized again again again i don't even remember how it ended my brain has jsut melted from apologies

While yes, the entire game is funny with it’s slap, cackle and popping all over your bum, even from the very beginning it’s signalizing an abusive relationship as, when prompted to re-explain the controls, which is funny in the context of you just nodding your head, but sometimes you just do not understand small things and needing them re-explained and immediately getting yelled at and restricting responses to yes or no. After the fact, ‘small’ abusive behaviours like calling the partner’s name ugly and essentially forcing them into saying what they want them to say devolve into manipulation of social life, keeping them away from their friends, that would otherwise try to pull them out of the relationship and villifying them for an opinion, that opinion being not liking pineapple on pizza and even coercing/forcing them into sex. Then, it all ends up with the partner not even breaking up with them, simply blaming them and saying they don’t love them enough, or don’t really love them and the cycle of abuse continues. Neither of these endings are good, because in a relationship like this nothing will end up working out and repeat over and over again.
