@@kiddkd7242 to quote the dev themselves "It was a design decision because originally killing people in the world yourself could really mess with the proc gen and cases but it also something that doesn't really fit with the goal of the game which is solving cases " I do feel like it goes against the Isim aspect-but outside of murica, PI's generally cannot carry firearms. For additional context I'm fairly sure the devs are Brits.

CCTV actually existed since the mid 1960's but it was very niche, extremely expensive, and very few places used it. By this game's time period in 1979 it would have been slightly more widespread but not by much.
