The reason why all of the games have MIDI music is because since all of the games are made in Multimedia Fusion 2, the music has to be MIDI, and that's it. No WAV, MP3, or all of those files. Just, f******, MIDI. However, you can make a CD-quality song, and put it in MMF2, and just pretend it's a sound effect.

Chaoz Rush It's not the fangames that make the Sonic fanbase awful. (At least, not on its own.) They're often super immature and obnoxious and praise the Sonic series as some kind of holy grail of gaming. They can't accept a bad game or the fact that the Sonic series is going way downhill. Not to mention the awful "Original" characters. Not everyone in the Sonic fanbase is like this (obviously), and it might not even be the majority, but from what I've seen, the Sonic fanbase is pretty terrible. While both the Mario fangames and the Sonic fangames are terrible, I think the Mario ones are more playable.

Here's a reminder that the video is called "Shitty Sonic Fangames" for a reason - it focuses on the crappy stuff, a vast majority of which came out ~10-15 years ago. You know, when the internet was naive and users were running Windows 98. Technology for making these games was relatively new. The same garbage could be found of any franchise with enough of a following back then. I remember playing a lot of crappy Mario stuff, too.
