Askelaad is half Dane and half Welsh, a Viking but also royalty, and a parent's enemy to Torfin, who has raised him. A very complex and fascinating character. But it all came together in the final "Don't come, Tolfin". This is the last episode that makes my heart beat faster no matter how many times I rewatch it. I'm so glad to see your reactions to it.

Peak fiction , Now the real vinland saga is about to start , personally season 1 was in my top 10 but season 2 is so freaking amazing now it's in my top 3 , season 1 may be 10/10 but season 2 is definitely ∞/10 each episode is a masterpiece a pure diamond , I'm looking forward to see your reaction for Season 2

season 2 for some ppl could be considered "boring" but it is truly a masterpiece a top 5 greatest season / arc ever made imo. if u guys do happen to find it slow / boring just stick thru with it bc like i said it is one of the greatest things ever created.

Vinland Saga with one of the best protagonist and "antogonist" in anime, this season is only the prequel and i swear I reacted the same way as yall. It had me so shocked that I had to start reading the manga.

Vinland Saga is a very underrated anime. I’ve watched many anime and Vinland Saga’s story is in the top 5 best stories. You both realized the significance of Thorfinn dropping his dagger and it took me a few eps into season 2 to realize the significance. A good chunk of people who saw season 1 dropped Vinland in season 2. They’re truly missing out. Cant wait to see yall reaction to season 2. Other great storytelling anime I recommend is Parasyte: The Maxim, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Heavenly Delusion.

Rest in peace, Askeladd. 🥹❤He was definitely a hateful man to Thorfinn, and at the same time, he was like a second father to him. The title of the final episode is "End of the Prologue". Yes, incredibly, season 1 was just a very epic and long prologue to this story. This is just Thorfinn's backstory. I thought this final episode was the peak at the time. But the real best peak was season 2. Season 2 is really great, so please watch it. However, the first half moves very slowly. Therefore, I recommend watching the first half two episodes at a time. If you watch until the end of season 2, you will understand why this anime is called Peakland Saga.
