The first 'Video' without Motion I watched from Beginning till the End. Entertaining Drumming taken to another Level, incredible. Really like his old Snare Sound, more Gadd-ish, warmer, softer and deeper. Thanks for uploading.

@@MrDrumGodsey Sorry, I had a metal snare RC, but don't remember if he brought his own or used another or mine. What I do remember, is he wnated "power-toms", but more important was the colour, and only kit in Norway at the time in Cherry red was mine, with "normal" depth toms. He changed all heads of course, to single ply clear ambassadors, if I remember correctly.

Wow! Vinnie was really a beast back in the 80's. Why did he ever quit Yamaha? Those Recording Customs sound incredible!

No, I sold them when I went for a ´71 Gretsch-kit that I still use today =) ..they do sound great, though! Classic Yamaha Recording Custom sound...

Gadd on Roids= Vinny at the time. Everybody wanted that muffled studio sound at the time. Less is more with plenty of breathing space in beetween. The Drum corps flat sound was in, and personally I think it sounded great and never overpowered the other players or leaving unneeded overtones
