Kiss has never given him his DUE. He has a flair that other Kiss guitarists miss. They needed that, and while he's a nut, well, sometimes you need to indulge genius. With him, a different band - but the glimmer brothers couldn't handle the seismic loss of the limelight with Viinie- VV NEEDS to be on his own!!!

Vinnie is the greatest ballad writer ever (Tears, Time of Year, A Million to One, I Still Love You, Gypsy...); not as good on rockers, but still ok

Wait... Vinnie had his hands on I Still Love You?? I love that song.

It's Kool! His vocals appear to have the same sound that Gene's does on Lick It Up. Like, Young and Wasted.

I see, and feel, a massive resurgence, of KILLER music, on my horizon, brought to you, by Vinnie Vincent!!!!

Randy Hutchinson If it wasn’t for personal/personality issues Vinnie Vincent should have been huge-great songwriting talent, technically exceptional guitarist (but became way too obsessed with speed over melody), and more than capable singer.

If Vinnie did a KISS solo album, it would’ve been every bit as good or even better than Ace’s and that’s coming from a total Ace fan.

But he had VVI and it sold poorly because it really is shitty.

Because Vinnie didn't sing on VVI - it also wasn't the perfect time to release his material. They produced it and found singers that suited the 80s style unfortunately! If you listen to Vinnie's songs how they were written and meant to sound they weren't really 80s glam (most anyways). good examples kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZmrdamPoKajjNE and lesser extent kzbin.info/www/bejne/bV7adWqhja14r5Y. I am sure if he sung on his solo albums and they ignored the 80's commercialism production it would have been more successful - or at least went down as a underrated album. Also Kiss used most of his best material on lick it up. Listen to the original Warrior demos - that came out before. Solo album in 1983 couldve been something like: VINNIE VINCENT SOLO ALBUM ('82 - PRE KISS) (VINNIE SINGING ALL) SIDE 1 BOYS ARE GONNA ROCK (original lyrics - later becoming on the 8th day) NOT FOR THE INNOCENT BACK ON THE STREETS YOUNG AND WASTED GYPSY IN HER EYES IT'S NOT PRETTY (BEING EASY) SIDE 2 I LOVE IT LOUD I STILL LOVE YOU FORBIDDEN TEARS BABY OH WHY? Bonus Track (JAPANESE RELEASE ;) MAYBE IT’S THE RAIN This is not even using: Million to one Lick it up Gimme more Mainly as I think Paul probably had a fair bit of input into those few! KILLER (nearly made the cut) probably could argue it over Young and Waste ( I tossed up between the two) THAT"S SOLID SOLO ALBUM!!!!

@@5tar5z Dude VVI is not shit. In my opinion, it's better than Motley Crue's entire back catalogue.

I just don't see (J)ean recording a good song like this. Listening to these demos only proves that VV was to good to be in Kiss, Paul and (J)ean were threatned by VV.

Holy crap this is too awesome! Why didn't he pursue this? It would've been a kick ass record! It's a shame Vinnie could've made awesome music on his own, such magical songwriter and musician.

I feel like I entered a dimension were Vinnie V still knows how to play and that he actually made something more than a stain on the history of good music. Then I looked and saw this was only KZbin , o the come down was easier than I thought.
