Vintage Action Man Space Ranger Battlepack custom stickers - Toy Polloi

I'm a big fan of the Action Man Space Ranger outfits and accessories, but while recently reviewing the Battlepacks I thought they could be improved with the addition of some stickers. Something to give them some colour and tie them in with the rest of the outfits. So that's exactly what I did.

Amazing what some stickers and a LOT of time can do to spruce up a monotone toy accessory. I really like the 3 differing color schemes you made and still kept it understated. The stickers really look like they could have come with the original toy. Beautiful work.

You know Dave, every time you show these outfits the "Action Man" Space Ranger ones I immediately think of International Rescue. They have a very Gerry Anderson vibe to them. I am a big fan of the old Model series Thunderbirds and its recent reboot but I know more about model based tv series from his apprentices work, David Mitton who worked on Thomas and Tugs. He did his mentor proud if you ask me.

You could also make the panel pieces into rank insignia as well. Patroller has one white bar, captain has two, commander has three, etc.

I find it very calming watching you edit in photoshop. The finished outfits look great. I’m sure Palitoy would have done something similar if cost wasn’t an issue. Must have been tricky balancing mass production and artistic intent.

Great job Dave the stickers look brill. Fairly sure the battle pack I had the red panel would light up and it had a gun that lit up as well, it didn't have the helicopter attachment, if memory serves me right

Excellent video, very enjoyable to watch. Where did you get your glossy adhesive sheets from? as with the sheets I use, the print looks great but fades with hours or do you use some form of sealant to stop the print from fading?

I love your channel and I admire your talent to fix toys, but I don´t think it´s appropriate to add something to this figures. It is like drawing a moustache to the Mona Lisa, no matter how nice the moustache is drawn, it looks unnatural.
