I love what you did with the old AFX cars and the G+ chassis I'm going to check that out myself thank you for that would you ever consider doing a video how you move the wings and how you set the cars up customized do you actually brush paint them or do you spray paint them? Thank you

Back in 1986 my 9 year old daughter raced a PB mini Mustang 4 wheel drive R/C buggy. I moved the wing back behind the rear wheels and body, because it moves the aerodynamic center of pressure rearward for stability, like the fins on an arrow. Also you have a more leverage for down force on the rear wheels. My daughter was top qualifier and won many A mains against much older boys and men. I am not surprised to see this technique work at the HO scale.

Cool cars and track! Are all older Mega G bodies compatible with Mega G+ chassis? Did you have to do anything to get your Mega G bodies to fit them? Thanks!

I use mostly the aurora afx prosche 510, and the lola t 260. I move the wings down and back on both of these. the 510 front air dam also has to be ground down (easy to do, most are already broke when you get them) to allow track clearance for the lower profile mega g+ chassis. the lola requires no mods and the new g+ chassis will snap right into these vintage bodies

I am just getting back into this from the late seventies. did you use a standard piece of plastic for the wing mounts when you lowered the wings?

I'm in total agreement simon, I like to stay away from "gimmick" tracks. problem is, if I didn't do that with the layout configured the way it is, it gives too many outside turns to the red lane. just trying to even it out!

understandable ..but if you race or run with friends you can change lanes between races as we do sometimes.. and we have no real problems with handling with old g-plus or Mag and non mag cars- we use hotiresdirect tires.. especially on the old Aurora lock & joiner track..other brands work well on AFX track, esp Super tires and old AJ's

Sweet lol I'm still jealous I have the RC car and as a kid regret now all the things we did to the $2.79 Magnatraction and the $7.29 G plus cars . I paid a few hundered in penance for my sins to get it back to the way it was.
