Yeah, in a documentary about Returns, it was admitted that during the development of Forever, amongst McDonald's other stipulation, that line had to be included in the script for commercials

I have many fond memories from my childhood but none stands out the best as summer of 1995. The amount of hype and marketing behind Batman Forever was insane. It was just so cool to watch tv and see all the cool toy commercials for Batman. I ate a lot of Mcdonalds as a kid and that summer I was always reminded of Batman during every meal. And to top it off in mid August a little movie called Mortal Kombat is released. That was an awesome summer I will never forget.

I was born in 1999 so I have no memories of the pre-Nolan Batman films but I love these commercials. Something so fun about seeing a McDonald in the Schumacher Gotham. It’s sad that these sort of movie tie ins don’t exist anymore

I remember when I saw the "I'll get drive thru.." line in a McDonald's commercial and I thought "wow...that actually looks like a scene from the movie.." Then I saw the movie and when he actually said that I remember thinking "oh no.." When you got 14 year olds face palming..something is bad wrong..
