@@theknifedoctor yeah I couldn't believe it when I seen them. Now that I think about it I got one at the pawn shop for $5 and the other one I got from my boss he gave it to me. I was mistaking one of my westerns for a schrade folding lock back with gut hook and sheath that I picked up at the same pawn shop for $9 they had $20 on it I was shocked when they said $9 cash out the door. I couldn't get my cash out fast enough 😂

Outstanding job on that knife handle Kevin!!! Typical Marine style that you adapted and overcame the obstacle of the bone!!! I recently put a water buffalo horn on a broken German Word War 2 bayonet. The shape came out well and I added paracord for extra grip. I made a sheath and had a local shoe repairman sew it up and put a snap retainer to secure the blade. You did a fantastic job on your Boy Scout knife!!! The Old Army Scout…

I found a Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co., Barlow that ive been wanting to put antler on, ive been holding off on it because i dont know if im quite ready to tackle that yet. To be honest with you its the knife i dont want to screw up, ive never seen one for sale nor can i even find one to compare it too. But you do give me the motivation to try. Your end result looks amazing, even if you couldnt get the antler on it.

Honest opinion. Restore Turned out nice👍 Antler stag is choice, but takes little more time. Crafting a slab handle on those western split tangs is interesting adventure. If I was doing a stag antler on a split tang. I would probably craft a separate thin section to fill the middle gap and then epoxy/sandwich clamp the two scales with the center piece inside. Then drill and put the 2 pins in.
