That's how the RTS was originally until the RTS-03 model, where they mounted the AC system onto the rear.

As always most of the NJTHC care takers drive a couple of their buses to the Spring Fling every year in June but you gotta appreciate the older buses from the past because they don't make them like they used to be

I was born in the beginning of the 90s, so thankfully I got to see some of these buses in person running in revenue service. You're absolutely right, all they have around today is quiet, boxy flattened side buses... did I mention quiet? I miss when buses had personality that wasn't just in the front end caps.
