Wurlitzer Band Organ Song: • Antique Wurlitzer Band...
Here's another Christmas surprise for you guys! Happy holidays, everyone!
I kid you not, this was one of the coolest places I've ever been! The Volo Antique Museum in Illinois is home to a wide variety of things, all of which are, you guessed it, antiques! The majority of the showrooms contained older muscle cars, like the ones you would have seen all over the streets in the 1950s-60s. Now, I'm not a car guy by any means, but I'd be lying if I said the pieces they had on display didn't blow me away. Down the line they had a series of old Jukeboxes, motor cycles, RVs, boats, band organs, trains, and so much more! On top of that, there were at least two GIANT antique stores part of the museum as well, where you could actually go and buy antiques. And these stores had nearly every product imaginable. You may have heard of places where every time you turn around you see something new, even if it was a place you looked at previously, this was perfect evidence of those kinds of places. It was truly a wonder to walk through it all!
This video showcases all of the ceiling fans and other "caged" fans I saw during my visit. The place is so massive that I'm sure that there were still plenty of fans that I didn't see, but this will definitely not be my last time coming to this place, so whenever I go back, I'll definitely take video if I see anything new. As I said at the beginning of the video, this experience also marks the first time I've ever seen an Emerson "Blenderfan" Heat Fan in person! It was the perfect fan for this type of place! It's too bad that the one I saw wasn't on, but perhaps they're trying to preserve it? It was also pretty cold the day I visited so chances are that's why the majority of fans were off. I didn't see any air conditioning units inside, just those small heater things, so I bet more of the fans would have been on had it been warmer out. I only saw the one blenderfan, but hopefully there were more that I just missed, but like I said in the video, I wouldn't be surprised if the industrials replaced blenderfans. And lastly, in case anyone was wondering, no, I did not see any antique fans for sale in any of the antique stores that were open.
