Hello everyone and welcome to my channel, this time we are going to decorate this chest of drawers with the papers that we designed with Artificial Intelligence and printed in the two previous videos. I will leave you the links in the description box, the first thing we do is give a slight sanded the entire box and clean it well so that there is no dust left, then we apply two coats in my primer case, but it can be chalk paint or acrylic paint. We wait for it to dry and we are going to apply the decoupage. Cut out the pieces that we want to put in each drawer and apply a very thin and well-extended layer of glue for decoupage or carpenter's glue thinned with water, very little water and spread it well, apply the paper on top, letting it fall and with plastic and a paper napkin or a cloth we extend from the center to the edges so that the paper stays well stuck. always from the center to the edges so that there are no air bubbles in the middle
Next we will apply a layer of decoupage glue to protect our work well.
We will do this with all the drawers and let it dry while we put the paper and do the decoupage on the box.
For the outside of the box I have chosen the full paper, that's why if you see the videos where we print them I printed them full page because it's almost the right size, so we do as with the drawers.
We put a thin layer of glue for decoupage, it is better to do it in pieces, in any case, here you will see that in the third
sheet that I glued I did it in a different way it is easier to put the paper on top and lift half and glue half so it will not move from the place
we put the napkin and better if it matches the edges well. A piece of plastic on top and we press with a piece of paper or a napkin always from the center outward, making sure that it is well glued on all the edges so that it does not come unstuck later, if it happens to you like me that a bubble of bubbles remained there in the center air, probably because it had little glue, you better leave it because it can tear the paper, when you pass the brush with the glue over it, it already sticks, we may have a small wrinkle but that's okay, it's a vintage project
We dry it with the dryer to speed up the process and not have to wait for all the glue to dry and so we can do the three faces in one go, after drying with a nail file or with fine sandpaper we remove the excess from the napkin.
You see that it is very easy to remove.
If you have come this far, thank you very much for watching my video. I hope you see it until the end and see the complete result that has been very beautiful and do not forget to like it, share if you liked it and leave me a comment and also subscribe so that every time I publish a video you will receive a notification
To match the front of the box with the slightly vanilla tone that the bottom of the paper has, I have mixed white paint with just a drop of yellow and with small touches with a sponge we cover all the edges
It is time to age our project a bit. In this case, I have used Judean bitumen but a dark paint, acrylic paint or ink works well, but we are going to apply very little, that is, we stain the Sponge and drain the excess, we touch it on a piece of paper before. Somewhere I got a little out of hand but well, nothing happens with care and that's how we age the edges of the drawers and also in the box.
In the box I have not only given it on the edges, I have also given it a little because of the drawing, I have stained it a little. You have to be careful, I had never used Judea bitumen and it stains a lot
To finish our work we will apply two coats of varnish, letting it dry between coats, I have applied ultra matt varnish but you can put the one you like best, gloss, satin...
