One of the best most under appreciated blues players EVER! There’s some young SRV wanna be’s that get national attention who can’t carry his case.

Horns killin and Cain's phrasing is ridiculous!! He is one of a handful of Blues players that can seriously Jazz it up right. Wish he would blow South Texas way sometime.

I was just watching a recent Chris Cain video, and he plays the same way in this video - 30 years earlier he already had his style down, just keeps getting better with age......!

Just found this. Everyone who likes blues/jazz/r&b needs to listen to this! I don’t know why I only heard of Chris in the last few years, the man should be better known. Incredible musician, and from what I’ve seen a really cool and nice guy.

Was at this place called Terra blues listening to the radio while waiting for the band, the song ‘out of my head by Chris Cain comes on… I’m blown away instantly by the intro and don’t get me started on the vocals. This man has inspired me to learn more about melody and guitar. I read he didn’t start playing gigs until around 30, I’m guessing perfecting his craft and then he went to school to learn more. I want to start a band so bad but then I hear music like this and feel like there’s so much more to learn first. Love you Chris, thank you for existing. Love from New York

Chris Cain's album Raisin' Cain was the second most played blues album on blues radio stations in the USA for 2021. Sirius XM BB King Bluesville station played Hush Money and I Believe I Got Off Cheap often. Of course, finding stations devoted to blues is tough.

I think he completely destroys Bonamassa...DESTROYS!!! I can't get through one of Joe's songs, his voice is terrible and his solos are licks he's ripped off, no originality. Chris is the best!

Big Toe liking Chris is not mutually exclusive to liking Joe. Joe has never claimed to be a blues guy, just that he loves blues and does blues based music. Chris is a blues guy, and performs straight blues. Should he be more famous and revered? Hell Yes. But that does not have anything to do with the work JB did to get where he is. You are comparing apples to oranges. CC is better than all of his contemporaries, of which JB is not a member. You do not need to degrade one musician to love another
@MarkTarmannPianoCheck_it_out
@MarkTarmannPianoCheck_it_out 2 жыл бұрын
@@Sargeslide well said. Bonamassa helps bring blues to the masses. Though i would differ with "pure blues" . Aint no such thing. even with Muddy Waters. Chris is as much funk fusion and jazz as he is blues. His Soloing and comping. All those imaginary genre lines.
