One of Jeff's best tunes. If you did not know, Jeff Beck was into building cars as well as being one of the most influential guitar players ever. To this day, he still has quite a collection of cars and guitars. He started out with a nicely built 63 split window Corvette that he would road and track race!

@HD41117 Thanks for your interest and the kind words. Regarding the dates of, and the equipment used for the audio recordings: A few years ago attended a 3 day Nostalgia Drag Racing event at Thompson Drag-raceway, Thompson, Ohio. I loved seeing all the old vintage racers (just like the old days) and I recorded the audio at that meet. I used a digital recorder (M-AUDIO microtrack II - with its stereo mic), a fantastic piece of field equipment which fits nicely in one hand. Rock on, Charles

Ohhh....help me here. Darnit, I cannot remember that guy's name who raced The Fugitive Corvette Wheelstander. He and I were from Tucson, Az. and he picked me up thumbing for a ride one afternoon back around 1980-82. Very nice, genuine guy. He owned a really cool big military-surplus yard along I-10 near Ruthrauff Rd. and I'd stop in there once in a while to just drool over the bad-ass stuff he had there. Bought a few things here and there, prices were always very reasonable. Ohhh...what was his name. I know he's passed now. I want to say "Dale" - something, but that's prob. not right either. Great video....saw many of those run here at Tucson and at Beeline in Scottsdale.
