Yes, I'm sewing along & excited to start as my kit has arrived!!! Great tips for cutting some pieces a tiny bit larger for most accurate trimming. Will need to watch & pause, when cutting & sewing the first few blocks. I remember this style & print type from the 60's. This will be fun!!! 2 more Pineapple Blocks to go on Petit Four QAL, too. Gives me 15 minutes a day to relax while being primary Retired Hospice Home Care RN caregiver for my 96+ year old mom, now with Hospice care in our home as my assessment + pain relief visit every 2.5 hours, around the clock. Watched this after the 3:45 a.m. assessment & care this morning.

I bought the original Millie's Dresses pattern 12 years ago and it is still in a box with some Lori Holt fabric to go with it. I thought I would make it for my grandmother one day, since the dresses reminded me of her and she taught me how to quilt. Sadly, I never got it done. But I will make the quilt someday. Adorable.

Kimberly, I’m frustrated. I spent forever choosing fabric from my LH collection, some of which I was saving for a project like this. I must be missing something. I cut out all the pieces I would need, and began. My first block is off at the waistband/belt area. No way to fix it. The second block is worse… then I found your video, sooo much help. Wish I’d watched it sooner. So I can either try your tips for pinning to match up where it needs to go, or start over and cut according to your instructions. If I try to stick with what I have, I can trim so they are all the same size block, but I’m still fighting to match up where the pieces should come together?? Are her seams quarter inch, or scant eighth inch? I’m sure I just need to learn more and keep practicing… suggestions? Just so you know, I love FQS, the fabrics, the shop, the staff, etc. thx

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I am tearing my hair out at the tiny flying geese panel sadly. It just never comes out the right size, it is always a bit too small. I double checked I have the right pattern pieces (2" square and 2" x 3 1/2" rectangle). I made sure to sew on the diagnonal etc, but at most I get to 1 1/2" x 3" final result, when it is supposed to be 2" x 3 1/2" any advice on what I could be doing wrong?
