I did some research on the 25th Anny Strat and there was actually a serial on the neck plate. The necks did not carry a serial number on this model. So it is probably real and complete.

Cool video there Historian. I want to go to that place. That's the only other Orpheum arch top I've ever seen that's exactly like mine. I think it's older. Early fifties or even late forties. Very cool checker board binding around the body. Mine came out of NJ also. Rescued out of an abandoned diner in the '90s. I've been playing it more recently so right now I'm in the process of adding side dots to the neck.

Pretty Amazing array of guitars. Out west just don’t see that. Kind of a eclectic dealer - probably a musician/Vinyl Junkie that focuses on that stuff. 35/40 years ago I would run across a few decent guitars in Antique stores. Last best find was about 20 years ago. Stumbled on a clean 1952’ Martin 0-15 for $450 sold it years later, but I still have my 1941’ Kay’ Solid wood flattop -that is the best old slide flattop Guitar I’ve run across. Cool Video👍

Thanks again for a new adventure! Those “growing pains” sound quality and other assorted mischievous occurrences on this trek will become fond memories of your initial documented safaris. I assure you, many more will come (hopefully!). And to those who cannot resist to taint an act of love and expression on your part, art and beauty has a way of transcending the need to attempt to politicize the craft that brings us the most pleasure. Carry on wayward son…

…but more importantly, in the video near the anniversary Strat, there was a profile view of what appeared to be an Ovation Balladeer type acoustic guitar. What got my attention was the slotted headstock tuners. Is there any outtakes, video/Pix that show more of this item? Interested since I own a ‘85 Custom Balladeer myself due to my early influences of Cat Stevens. And the fact that it was crafted not far from me in beautiful downtown Connecticut. 🙂

How much did he want for that beat down, tore down, backless Gibson. Seems with a little work, that old girl could make a comeback. Just my opinion. The Squier Bullet is the real deal, not a mismatched, dinkyish body on a bona fide neck. MIJ, probably '84-'85. I have the same guitar, but with covered single coils. SQ serial on the neck plate. Gotoh hardware. The pickguard is not original and the pickups might have been swapped. Reverb has them covered and not. Sometimes you get lucky with after market pickups. The originals are merely ok. Well worth owning if the price is right.
