I'm so loving this plus it takes me back to being a young kid and back to the 1980s as well. They need to start putting all the stuff back on television again, Like the way they use too. Miss it I do

Man, I will never get tired of those Halloween commercials. They don’t make commercials like those anymore. 😊

Companies don't put the care and love into days like Halloween, Christmas, and Easter like they did during these days - I was lucky to be a kid in those times. People really celebrated the seasons and life in general back then.

Man, this makes me so happy! The nostalgia! I miss this. Sure Halloween is more popular than ever, but you don’t see commercials like this anymore. I’m going to show these to my little ones and see what they think.

I know I'm only 26. But I miss when Halloween would be fun and kids went door to door saying trick or treat. I was one of the lucky ones who did that. I tried the trunk or treat thing before but it just wasn't the same. Every year we have a Halloween party at a campground and they host contests, and I love it because us adults dress up and we also go around asking for candy. Because we know everyone there. I won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for best decorations. Because it's my favorite holiday so I go all out. But I don't win on the costumes, even tho people said I should have but found out, because my grandpa was working there. It would show "favoritism" he wasn't the one hosting the contests tho. But whenever I celebrate it in town I do win prizes. 😂🎃

I know what you mean. However the trunk or treats can be really fun in their own way. God, knows they were a life saver during the lockdowns. I’d take my oldest to every event, every trunk or treat at every church, community center, and farm in the area! He loved it, and it really defined the era for us. I’m glad that we can trick or treat again, but there was something fun to about searching through countless local newspapers, community websites, etc for all these events.

Sadly I never got to see these as I was born early 2009 but I wish I could have been around when they were a thing. People actually cared about their kids and their safety and McDonald’s had good toys. Commercials also had originality and had to be thought up. All people care about now is money and ripping others off.

That Provincial spot is a complete ripoff of "Rocky Horror", right down to the costumes & make-up---except for the jingle. I suspect Richard O'Brien refused to license any of his songs, so the ad agency had to go with "Monster Mash" instead.

How come back then Halloween was all about safety? When I was a child like 2004ish we wore costumes that we could trip on, masks you could barely seem from, had flashlights, glow sticks, etc. I only had an assembly once from a police officer about safety but that was it. Parents didn’t care as long as you had a flashlight and a glowstick necklace
