Damn hockey! The best. Notorious for airbrushing, though in this case they didn’t bother. I just picked up a second year Phil Esposito for $25. Not the greatest condition but it’s all about the eye appeal. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If you compare card prices from 2018 to 2024 and cards have double at least. $50 cards today were under $20 5 years ago.

With the prices falling like space junk out of the sky, if people don't want to pay my price that I'm asking for, then so be it. I'll just keep it. Not in any big rush to have to sell. Value will return. Especially on certain things. For me, it is all about scarcity. Yes, demand too, but continue to add age only makes it worth more... eventually. Definitely a great time for a buyer.

Love this series of “economical” cards. I particularly like collecting the leaders cards from the 60s. The star power is incredible. Mays/Aaron/Banks on one card! Can’t beat it.

Great video, Graig! If the Post cards have little bumps along the edges they were sent through the mail. The box editions don't have the perforation bumps. I was thankful to pick up the mail version of the Clemente at my LCS.

Love the cereal baseball cards, its how i began collecting almost 60 years ago. Going to the grocery store with mom was not a drag, i loved picking up more cereal. My nickname became Kelloggs Kid. The more i eat, the more cards i could get….Thanks again for the research Graig!

Those cards are cheap because a lot of people aren’t looking for a 15th year Hank Aaron card and some of those Hall of Famer are kind of low tier Hall of Famers i’ve been collecting vintage more. All I want is the rookie cards and definitely if they’re not centered I don’t want them.

I love off center/mis-cut cards. If you look at off center/mis-cut currencies they’re worth money but sports cards are worth less. I just don’t get it.

It’s an interesting observation. I love centered cards, but it worries me that they are trimmed. If the hobby didn’t embrace centered cards, trimming scandals would have never happened.

The Clemente '68 Topps in a 5 for 50 bucks, is a good deal. The Musial/Mays for 44 bucks in a 5...I don't know for some reason the cards, that have multiple players on them seem to go for a bit less, but we're talking about 2 all time greats.

Couldn't believe a lot of those cards but I love the 63 Mays/Musial. The 62 Unites in a SGC 4.5 under $50 is amazing. I sold a SGC 5.0 for three times that much 10 months ago. Prices are really getting softer.

I dont think it makes a difference. Same margins, like any business, if you buy at 70.00 sell at 100 then it drops to buy at 60 and sell at 80 or 90 you adjust as a business and keep buying and selling. This has been happening for decades, the internet today has info instantly at our fingertips. Also all those charts and graphs apps etc do not track accurately and miss out on so much of the hobby. And I am 1st on that list for a card! I called my shot and envelope is in tomorrows mail.

SGC is wrong. That 61 Clemente is not a hand cut card. That particular card was part of a 10 card Pirates sheet that you could order from Post by sending in cereal box tops. I have that 10 card sheet still intact of that card and many others. I know because I collected them as a boy. I think SGC needs to get their act together on those cards because there is no other way to get that card individually than to separate the perforations and send it in. There is no hand cutting; there is no other way to get that card so grading it “Authentic” is really wrong. They need to be educated. I wonder if they have ever graded a complete sheet for any team?

great players in vintage.. but most of them r WAY off centering…. like 80 20…. i like cards that better then that… i think that bad cetnering in low grade is why they low cost cards..

I’m only going to respond to the title. No one ever cared about vintage hof. They are irrelevent look at the value of Brady cards right now, dead. Before things irrelevantly skyrocketed you could buy vintage hof for ten cents in bulk. They never had value and they will return to their original value soon. Unless we have another lock down and another injection of stimulus then vintage will go back up.
