love the vintage pennants. The filing cabinet is a brilliant idea for storing stuff. The whole room is freaking awesome though, thanks for sharing with us.

@@sirwin7776 thanks so much! Yeah I had several of those pennants in my childhood bedroom, so it’s instant nostalgia every time I see them.

The comic book collection is amazing! I saw Kate and Allie. I just got the complete series not that long ago. I don't remember seeing that show back then but a neighbor friend pops in and out of my life. She surprised me with a visit and said she always wanted us to grow up and be like them. After I watched an episode, I cried. She's 4 years younger than me but we were so close, I thought of her more like a sister than a friend. I bought the Home Improvement series that comes in the red cardboard tool box too. Not weird at all, I enjoy word finds. Love the Beach Boys! Can't wait to see the catalogs. The brass duck book ends are exactly the same ones my parents still have that I cleaned once a week as a kid. The brass lamp is also the same but with a different lamp shade. They still have that too. That explains our 80's house well. Brass, glass and wood. So much stuff to polish and clean. It's a fun hobby and you've created an awesome room showcasing so many of the highlights from that period in time. You'll probably get a laugh out of my space. It is many things. An office, hobby, craft, pantry and sometimes guest room and can't forget, it's my bedroom. Best part of the day is when I can sit down and watch KZbin videos, in the "office" section. Lol. I'm really having fun watching your videos. Thank you for sharing!

So many cool things in the Den! Great collection and great 80s vibes! I collect a lot of the same things, so am having so much fun watching your videos. Keep up the good work! PS I hadn't thought about nerfuls in YEARS. Total nostalgia bomb and I will be on the lookout for some to add to the collection. Thanks for all the great content, Perry!

Very cool. When I was a kid I actually had that Donatello with the storage shell that you showed on the shelf. And while I didn't have that PVC Teddy Ruxpin figure that I saw in the bin on the shelf, I had, and still have, the Tweeg figure that came out at the same time as that Teddy Ruxpin figure. So many cool things man.
@TheCassettePhaseАй бұрын
@@tgif1345 thanks! Storage shell Donnie is a great figure. I actually feel bad that the Teddy Ruxpin figure is just in a basket…I need to find a proper spot for him haha.
@tgif1345Ай бұрын
@@TheCassettePhase That Donatello was actually my first Ninja Turtles figure ever. Being that I was born in December, 1986, I wasn't old enough for Turtles stuff in 1987 when the original cartoon started airing and the toys started coming out.
@TheCassettePhaseАй бұрын
@@tgif1345 I need to work in some more 90s content for our younger viewers! But yeah I loved the original TMNT figures, but the storage shell ones look more like the cartoon!
@tgif1345Ай бұрын
@@TheCassettePhase Yeah. I mean I'm more of a '90s and early 2000s guy, just because I was born in late 1986, but, I grew up with so much '80s stuff, and stuff from earlier decades, particularly movies, TV shows, and music, that I still consider myself an '80s kid too. I think that was the idea with the storage shell Turtles figures, since the original toys technically weren't based on the cartoon itself, since Playmates started making the toys before the cartoon began production.
@TheCassettePhaseАй бұрын
@@tgif1345 exactly, and how awesome that you’ve had exposure to several decades worth of cool stuff!

I just found your channel and subscribed immediately! Seeing everything made my day. I know this sounds crazy, but that oscillating fan on your file cabinet made me tear up because it brought back memories of my late grandparents. They had those in every room. (No central heat and air, plus Oklahoma summers!) Some of the best times of my life were spent with them and I miss them dearly. Thank you for sharing these treasures of the past for all of us! This is awesome, keep up the great work!

i have a very small extra room ive done up for mainly games and such but has my retro items also its just a quarter of the size of yours. Im looking to move to another house with a fully finished basement so I can make a large room full of goodness. I really love those old diner clocks, also reminds me of like old bowling alley ones. I would love to find one with the bottom part where you could attach letters to. That would be killer to have. Great video and great room, working from home in there must make it much easier to handle.
