Love seeing someone else share their explorations into Japanese tools. I've been blundering my way around with translations, discovering KTC, Ko-ken, Nepros, Tone, Asahi, Fujiya, Anex, Lobtex, Olfa, Niigata Seki, Engineer, Vessel, TTC, IPS, etc -- so much I don't know! I'm like a kid in a candy store. It's like back when I'd found out about German tools so, so many years ago. Love it. +

Thanks! It sounds like you have a good handle on all the Japanese manufacturers. They all make great stuff!

Why about tenka japan ? Good or no?

My Dad had an random Aigo adjustable that I still have to this day. I was always impressed with it. I really enjoy your video's, hoping you post something new very soon! You have me sold on Nepros over TONE recently, despite owning TONE for 5+ years.

I have a set of AF AIGO box end spanners I've used since the 70s, and they're good for another 50 years. My adjustable spanners are Japanese 'TOP' brand, and they're great too. I still believe they have less slop in them than the genuine 'Crescent' USA made spanners of the same era.

Do you have plans to make more videos? I love your reviews, my favorite tool KZbinr of many that I’ve watched. Not over the top and just really straight forward. Plus, love that you’re pretty decent at Japanese! Hope that you are safe and well.

Thanks brother! I will make some more videos. I’ve been focusing on other stuff for a while, but I’ll get some more up soon!

Cool scores. Yeah, I would've snagged those "accessory hanger units" too.

I’ve seen Aigo wrenches around before, but I was pretty surprised to come across SEK/Pro-Auto items in America.

@@BrandoDamo what store was this? SEK used to be a big OEM provider for American importers like Daido, and also for some stores like Fleet Farm.

Would be nice to see you do a tool haul about Japanese screwdrivers, Vessel for instance. Curious about your insight

There’s some vessel drivers in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKixgmhmZdCDfrc They’re now my favorite drivers. I love their ball grip. I definitely want to get some more in additional lengths and sizes.

All my vintage KMart 1970s-1980s tools were made in Japan.

I think some of those Japanese made Sears & Fuller wrenches were actually manufactured by KTC. Pretty cool

I didn't see anything currently, but have you checked mercari japan? Living in Japan, I have noticed this website becoming popular with selling tools inherited. There are a few 3rd party websites to assist in purchasing from the website as you need a Japanese C.C. and address. If something spectacular shows up, I'm willing to assist as I'm in Okinawa.
@BrandoDamo2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’ve been on Mercari before, but have never tried to buy anything. I’ve looked at using Tenso to get a Japanese address that I can have packages forwarded from, but I haven’t had to use such a service to get what I want yet. Thankfully pretty much everything I’ve wanted to buy so far from Japan has been pretty easy to get.
