The round carved black brooch you have could be 5000 yr old Irish Bog Oak. I collect Bog Oak jewelry. A lot of them are vintage mourning pieces.

Thank you!! It’s possible.. I don’t think it’s horn based on the texture of it but vulcanite seems like a possibility. I really am not sure though! Yes - I think it makes sense for us jewelry lovers to love jewelry boxes too. 😊❤️❤️❤️
