Hey Dave Great custom🙂 I really do not understand why collectors get bent out of shape when you save a toy. You do not pass them off as original and as you have said many times, you are sharing your experience with people who want to fix their own toys.. 🤷...oh well. Your ideas have helped me in every day little fixes around my place, just the other day I thought; how am I going to get that back together?" Oh... I will boil some water, get my 'plastic nippers' and pop it back together. Thanks for your inspirations. Take care🙂

Hi Dave, Bryn here at Bryncredible Customs, just wanted to say, great video, loved the removable head idea. If I ever get a decapitated 3PO, I will do this. As this is a custom figure and you are a man of many talents, if you wanted to do a follow up video, perhaps instead of painting the neck peg gold, you could paint it to look like the wires poking out of his head. Also you could also make a custom decal like R2-D2 has but to show the wires on his waist. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next video and perhaps another parts trade soon.

I don't actually have a broken C-3PO, but I do have a few figures, including the type with the removable limbs. If the limbs or neck ever break at the joint areas on my figures, I'm absolutely going to use this Lego fix. A really great job on this one, man! That 3P0 looks as good as new now, and all of his playability is fully restored! It's been a while since you've done a STAR WARS figure fix, so this was nice to see! I'm still hoping that you'll do a fix video for broken R2D2 clickers some day. It's a common thing to find R2s with broken clickers, and buying replacement clickers online isn't practical, as you can buy a complete replacement R2 figure for the price people charge for them.

Please excuse my impertinence, I'd like to suggest using a drill or small bench top drill press as a lathe to reduce cylindrical plastics of any size. using nails or needle files as the cutting tools. Thanks for coming over. Glad you are enjoying my videos. I try to show how to fix stuff with the most basic tools. As most people don't have lots of equipment. Great video! I found a C3PO on eBay with a broken left hand and loose limbs on sale for only 10 euros. No one claimed it for months so I decided to have it, giving him a new home. It's my first C3 so my original thought was to let the figure as it is ( Clearly a kid had a lot of fun playing with it) but restoring the missing hand will give back some of the old glory. Unfortunately, I haven't found any spare parts or other broken ones to replace the hand. Any suggestions?

From Kenner's Star Wars: The Ultimate Force collection, all-new figures with authentic detail right from the movies! Threepio's gone to pieces and only you can put him back together again! But watch out - the Imperial Sandtroopers are about to find him and Artoo or can Han Solo and Luke Skywalker Yavin Fatigues reach to them in time? Star Wars: The Ultimate Force Yavin Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, C-3PO and Imperial Snowtrooper each sold seperately from Kenner.

Is it difficult to split the two halves of the head, torso, arms, legs etcetera? It looks like replacing the pins would be easier if all the old broken bits could be removed. In the final reveal, what happened to 3pO's right hand? Thanks, nice fix.
@toypolloi
@toypolloi 5 жыл бұрын
C3po is glued and riveted together. You would do far more damage trying to split him apart. Not sure what you mean about the right hand. It's just normal.
@tomheckhaus7617
@tomheckhaus7617 5 жыл бұрын
Ah, not having any SW figures myself I did not know they were riveted together and glued. So yes splitting will only make it worse. 3PO's hand (left) as I view the reveal just looks stunted, maybe just the camera angle. When my daughter was young we had all the SW's toys. She loved the movies and was quite the fan. When she married I guess she gave it all away. Thanks, always enjoy your videos. Tom USA

They go for a lot of money online, but I'm not interested in reselling - I just want to keep my nostalgic collection safe and looking good - and videos like yours are perfect for people like me! Perhaps Star Wars fans are scared of being scammed or buying 'restored' figures so they don't want people to know how to fix them. But your videos aren't for resellers or scammers, they're for humble collectors like us who want to keep our collections alive and do our best to fight off the ravages of time!
