Thanks for sharing this piece of history 😊 Not the fastest today (or in the 80s), but it was probably a great car back in the days. Did you use full throttle? I had a Kyosho nitro rally from the early 90s and it was way faster than this (had a .15 O.S. engine if i remember correctly).

It is a neat piece of history. I did give it a full throttle burst, however not knowing the history of the car, I didn't know if the engine was fully broken in, plus it was a rather warm day and there were no cooling holes in the body so I didn't want to push the engine too hard.

Cool car but I just don’t have patience for nitro. I did try a new Kyosho FW06 and the engine ran beautifully from new. Tried an HPI and the engine was a pain.

@@kahmed7328 Nitro cars are definitely a steeper learning curve than their electric counterparts. Once I got the engine running for a few minutes and all the old oil residue was flushed out of it, it was running flawlessly.
