Nice editing, beautiful girl, great review, mate. I've started my collection of these old Soviet lenses - have a 44m, MiR20M and a MIR37A. I'm like you- never going back (except in my portrait studio, where I still use Sigma Art lenses). I'm a video hobbyist only, but I just love how these lenses seem so filmic straight out of camera with just a little tweak to contrast. Cheers!

Hey man! Yeah we are on the same page! These lenses are crazy beautiful. Dude look up the iron glass cinema mods to these lenses. They are so sleek and works best for video.

@@JJTemp love their work, but sadly, not in my price range- I'm an amateur hack is all. I'm hooked up with a Vietnamese film director, so hoping to use these and learn heaps from him. Really dig the look and feel of your stuff, man.

I own this kit and have some problems with the 37mm… I notice that loss a lot of stops because of the anamorphic mod. And the minimum focus distance it’s also a problem for me.

Hi J, I've noticed that many vintage lenses tend to suffer from halation, which can add a cool, dreamy effect to your shots, but too much of it can overwhelm the image and cause it to lose detail. Did you happen to use a matte box to control it during your test? I really enjoyed watching your experiment and the results.

@@cynemathis hey there! Yes I did use a matte box. I use the tilta mirage with the vnd that comes with it. It was very bright out so I had to. But your right these lenses tend to do that a lot I'm noticing. I didn't have flap on top of the matte either. That forsure would have helped.
