Vintage Little Grey Ferguson TED 20 Demonstrating Topper Grass Cutter

I have spent many a happy hour aboard a Vintage Little Grey TE20 Ferguson tractor using my Topper/grass cutter. Some folk also call them "Bush Hogs"
Loves chomping grass, nettles, thistles and docks!
Ideal for squaring up orchards and paddocks that have gone a bit wild!

Just a hint I was given by an old bloke who grew up on a t20 engage the pot and spin up the mower before driving off its easier on the tractor sounds great

just a quick question, got myself essentially the same tractor, (1949 tea20 petrol) how tall a grass will yours cut? mine seems to hate me because im using it to cut grass 5-700mm long. (have to keep it full throttle and it still stalls on occasion) i thought this little guy would be ok with it, but im unsure if its too much to ask the ferg to do, or if mine is down on power

also like to add that im slashing with a 4' "mad gro?" slasher at a cut height of 5.5"

The T20's are a bit like that, it's a case of using it within it's capabilities. I tend to go slow and let the topper do it's work and maybe only do a "half width" cut on the longer grass. Once you have the grassed area down you can go over it doing full width cuts a few days after.
