Good video, this time. I had on my W108 280S a non functioning A/C scenario and after much deliberation I stripped the system down to its major components, replaced the dryer and took out the evaporator and flushed it, in addition to fitting a new exp. valve, using new copper bevel seals. The condenser was flushed, the various low / high pressure lines likewise. Finally my local MB dealer re-charged the system and now I have fully functioning A/C. Wonderful and worth it, but what a job!.....

Hi mr.Pierre. Love your series. Learned a lot. Would you mind saying a word on OM602 non turbo engine and transmission. Mine runs in ‘91. W460. I bought it in 2010 from fire department. Don’t know real milage couse of five didget odo. Red has done around 90t miles mostly on road. Since Red is in the family not much has gone wrong considering it’s age. Red is a daily driver.

Not sure on the newer dryers, but the older ones had a “fuse”. The over pressure would poke out a tab that looked like a Schrader valve, indicating too high of pressure. It was of a single use type.

I remember working on an early 90's Acura about 20yrs ago and it had a hole punched through the hood like it was shot w/ .22 from the inside. When I looked straight down, a schrader from the dryer was directly inline w the hole

Hey man. I have binged way to many of your old videos since I discovered this channel. And now I wanna buy my first old car. So , I have the age old question of W123 vs w124 vs 190 (w201) as a first car... I have no mechanic knowledge and I have no garage...Maybe you have a video on similar topic, I didn't find any.

On the subject of AC I a a parison subscriber and proud new owner of 1983 Mercedes 300d turbo. My AC blows but not cold. I’m in Commiefornia which raises the issue staying with R12 or changing to R134? I no longer need to have smog checks. Also I’m getting conflicting opinions on ALDA delete or keep. Thoughts?

I know in previous videos you've said to use only genuine Mercedes driers. Does that advice still hold true in your shop or do you recommend any aftermarket brands (Behr, Four Seasons, etc)

what is the “newest” age for a classic MB?
@westhavenor95133 ай бұрын
I would say the W140, W124, and R129 were the last classic MB, so in the neighborhood of 25 years old or so.
