as someone who lives in more in a town than a city like area in the netherlands, don't be affraid to add more open areas or rivers, or placing small tables and chairs like an outdoor café in a street. and flower pots besides lanterns, also XD there is no such thing as too many bikes in the netherlands, XD

Ooh I love using my villager pictures in my house, I try to fit at least one in each room on the wall or a little side table to make it feel more lived in because I always associate tones of pictures around the house with like a comforting environment

A trick to get a villager to move is opening your camera app and try to take a photo of them....Works every time for me. Lol. Also this is sooo beautiful I love it. It definitely inspired me.

Now you're making me want to re-do my full island D: ahahaha I had a residential area, then hated it, so I encorporated cliffs and trees to make it more rural like as if they had to find houses where they could rather than knocking everything down for them.
