Great to see you again, we have been needing to see what kind of fun you have been having. Still got a couple of tubes of gunslick, i use a dab on the threads of shotgun choke tubes. Great lube and have not had any seizing troubles, good stuff. Keep us up on the good life.

It's interesting how things that should still be sold in metal tins get sold in plastic containers while many cheap cookies are still sold in metal tins 😅

It's all about cost and what the customer is willing to pay. Women buy cookies in expensive tins based on emotions. Men buy gun supplies based on need.

I have the one my dad bought in 1969 when he bought a 20 gauge. It’s been used, but not abused! My dad passed on September 30th at age 96 and this video made me think of him with a tear in my eye…..

I grew up with these kits. Always liked the smell of these solvents oils, takes me back. Still have a few of these but they all are plastic cases, jags.

I still have the 20 ga one from when I was a kid. That tube of gun slick goes a long way. Mine has the same broken handle. Lol

They were pretty inexpensive, all under $5 new. Pretty easy sale for somebody buying a new gun, you could easily get them to buy the appropriate set. They still turn up NOS when older hardware stores close.

Remeber seeing these as a kid in the 70's. Your Nagant is quite the artifact. Theres a shop with Nagant revolver locally. I think its easier to go 38spl or 357mag.

I have one with the metal box with rounded corners. Sears Ted Williams. .22 rod and another stating .30 cal. and up. Got it about 50 years ago. Still use it!

I unfortunately never had the patience for their kits. I have a cleaning bench and have found other storage solutions for all the components. Yet,I have a box with all the metal tins in them thinking I would find a use one day and never have!😅
