A collection of photographs of people mining for gold in Plymouth, Vermont, taken by photographer Franklin B. Gage in 1860. Other photos show what the surrounding area was like during the small gold rush which started during the mid-1850s when a number of gold discoveries were made. Original captions are in quotations.
