Ive been wanting to do my hair like this for ever! My mom wore her frizzy curls like this in the front without any pins or combs. Her hair stayed this way. She graduated high school in 1944. She passed away at an early age, 45, but always wore her hair like this. I Have thick curly frizz also, but not quite like moms. I’m going to try this. You look so together and very sweet.

With good old Dippidy Do, buyable since the fourties if I remeber right, from Girls with curls, I solved the problem, that the wetset in my hair loose the curls. It last with a little help of dry shampoo for nearly a week. Love your style.

Perfect! When you look it seems that it is not difficult, but I understand that I will not be able to repeat. ))) It will take a lot of practice for me.)) Who taught you to do your hair? How did you learn the techniques for doing hair which were used in the 40s? How long did it take?

It's really not difficult, but just like any new skill it takes time and patience to learn it. I learned how to do my hair in vintage styles all on my own, I looked at photographs and worked out how to do it. I'm not trained at all. I've been doing my hair in vintage styles for almost 30 years now and I'm always learning.

Can you share where you purchased the embellished hair net and long flower if it was from a place we can purchase. So beautiful. Have to figure out how to do all these things u taught on my waist long hair lol I will be cutting at least 2 inches. Not ready for more yet lol
