Very very cool as always! As soon as I’m in a temperature controlled environment I’ve wanted to get back into discharge printing as I attempted it once or twice at the shop I used to work at. I wonder for discharge printing a multi colour job, do you ever start off just lining the print with generic plastisol colours so you can see it perfectly registered and then do a full ink changeover to discharge? If I remember correctly, it kinda shows up as clear until run through the dryer a couple of times and then it gets its colour? Just had that thought a few weeks back but maybe there’s an easier way to check registration.

Getting the design in register with plastisol is much easier to do. Especially if you are on a manual press. Check out next weeks Deep Dive for answers to that question on discharge!
