I’m SUCH a fan for old radios 📻. Quality went into radios 📻 many years ago. Try to shop for one ☝️ of these at Walmart (you can’t). Tube type radios 📻 were one ☝️ of the best. Turn the ON/OFF volume control knob 🎛️ to “ON”, and the radio 📻 will come to life ( maybe 🤔 half a minute). Your friend, Jeff.

Poison rip d Ox? lol What are you using in place of d Ox? Also which d ox are you replacing? Contact cleaner? Potentiometer cleaner?

Hello teammate! It’s D-Oxid It’s a popular contact contact cleaner that contains a small amount of lubricant. I put it in a dropper for a controlled application. Specially, indoors for just one pod . If I am working on a unit with a few pods. I take it outside to the terrace and use the can with its straw. The stuff is very toxic so I keep it away from my lungs and skin, which is a sponge that absorbs everything and we don’t realize. I do the same thing with WD-40 lubricant .

@@Tinybench I use WD spray for pots, some other tech's say it attracts dust, I've had no repercussions from using it

I always have D-Oxid so use it and it works very well as well plus it’s engineered for pots! It contains oil as well, so the D-Oxid could also attract dust but then again, I never had a problem with that.

@@Tinybench i would kee[ the knot but a rubber grommet will prevent the metal chassis damaging the cable leading to a short circuit over time, but still liked your work

35z5 has blown filaments all the time due to blown light bulbs. Half of it filament dies if bulb is dead. and if put his in a radio with good bulb, it blows the bulb! very dangerous design for bulbs
