I have a Bernina 950 and a Tacsew 950 (which is exactly like the Bernina 950), both of which I love, love, love. I am a professional costumer and they are perfect for my needs.

Good video. Telling what it's not is more important to me. Someone is asking $1800 for on locally.

I used to have one, but sold it in 2014. It is highly recommended for a cottage industry industrial machine. It will sew longer and is a better workhorse than a household machine. The motor is exterior-mounted and will not overheat. There is an option to order it with two different speeds of stitches-per-inch. I had the 2500 spi model and loved it. I sold it to a woman who made horse blankets in Mineral Wells, Texas. The head weighs 50 lbs and comes off for servicing. This machine had a wonderful level of feedback and people loved it for cottage home sewing. I made flags with reversible applique' on mine.

Thanks for this video, I looked and looked for coverage of these industrial and industrie machines when I bought my 850. Very informative, I love mine but agree there are limitations compared to other industrial machines, it is however a great machine of you have the space as it feels solid and does stitch beautifully, needles are pesky though remembering the front and back being round tipped instead of having a flat back like domestic machines

Hi, I have an 850 and it sits in an oil pan. I also have 217 but I like the 850 very much. I have been yearning for a 950vvb but it seems like overkill now. I also have a small machine that looks like the 217, exactly.if I can find it in my storage I’ll come tell you about it.

I have had my Bernina 950 for 12 years. It is the best machine I have ever owned. The computerized machines are really terrible. Expensive to repair. This machine will sew anything. Would love to have a new one.

Thanks Jeremy I love your videos. Just wondering if the 950 has the basting stitch? I can’t see it on the front there at all.
@jeremydickerson82433 жыл бұрын
Beth unfortunately the 950 does not have a basting stitch like the 930. It will, however, make a 6mm long stitch which is longer than the 930.

I recently purchase this machine, my first industrial. I’m having trouble setting the bobbin, any advice?

This can be said to be a Lite Industrial machine.

Thank you Jeremy for this video. I am french. So I apologize fo my bad english. I have this extraodinary machine and I won t change it for a new electronic one with computer. But, do you know if I can use all the new attachments of Bernina with this machine ? And above all, I use this machine with its table. And I would like to use it without the table and I have not the box to put under. Do you know where I can find it ? Thank you for your answer Mary

I have this machine. Could you show me how to place the needle? I cannot pick up a bobbin thread to get it sewing.
@NiecyRose3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have this machine and when inserting the needle, I imagine a clock face and set the needle between 30 and 35 minutes. In other words, fractionally towards the left. Hope this helps.

Was there a special reason you didn't show this machine in motion?
@philipbrutz21753 жыл бұрын
Skip ahead to 22 minutes for the machine in action.

@@philipbrutz2175 Thank you very much! I had been lulled into a coma by the repeated mention that this model was not industrial.
