I always use the 40v salon cream + UV light bulbs + aluminum foil lined cardboard box approach. I've retrobrited almost everything in my kenner collection, and it all looks beautiful. Restoration is one of the best parts of the hobby!

I just tried this method using the exact same Hydrogen Peroxide solution on my TaunTaun closed belly and it worked absoltely fantastic! Thank you for the great tip, I'll be using this method on my other vintage SW figures and vessels!

I submerge mine several months ago in peroxide, then scrubbed it up, and the belly actually lightened up considerably and looks uniform… Good job! And thanks for the video

He looks fantastic. Did the exact same process on my Falcon only with a UV light and box lined with tinfoil instead of out in the sun... worked like a charm!

Question what if the figure has chrome paint/effect on it? Does the hydrogen peroxide strip the chrome effect?
@geeklunchmeet Жыл бұрын
To be honest I've never tried it on chrome. My guess would be if you just brushed the cream on the non chrome parts it'll probably be OK but I would definitely test it on something first

Hi, i dont think that the Peroxide remove the Chrome because the Peroxide dont remove the other colored paint. Peroxide is only good to remove yellowings from UV, to make a deyellowing. Maybe you can use and test it with lighterfluid to rub it off with a cloth. White Spirit ( waschbenzin in German), hope thats the correct Name, Sometimes its usefull also to remove paintings. Hope you know what i mean. Greetings from Germany Thomas

Should have ended the video with a before/after comparison shot. That is probably the most important part of the video...
