Old webbing setup from the Swedish army. Quite handy also for hiking and bushcraft and carrying things other than magazines.

Comments keep vanishing...? That is the 304K bottle belt, introduced in the 1980:ies to replace the 1950:s c0mbat harness. It was later replaced by the bottle vest 2000, which in turn was replaced by the bottle vest 12, if I am not mistaken. The bottle holder is for the Swedish mi1itary 0.7 litre standard issue water bottle.

KZbin can be funny sometimes with comments. Thank you very much for the information. So hard to find good information about old kit on the Internet sometimes. All the very best for the year to come. Have a fantastic new year.

I bought this swedish webbing thing too from varusteleka few years ago. It was just so cheap i had to get one.
@KuukkeliBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
Really worth getting for that price. Such good value. Army surplus pouches are so handy too.

@@KuukkeliBushcraft Yeah. This kit was in my opinion extremely good value for the money. I have not used the full harness much, but the two big pouches has been so handy. If i would go on longer stays in woods i would use the whole system, but i usually just during winter for example on day hike just tie the belt over my winter jacket, and attach one pouch to it with some useful items or i tie the pouches to my backpack because its small to get extra space, and to keep things organised.

Thank you for the extensive explanation. I bought a sweden 304 webbing for hunting and buschcraft. I have been wearing it for sure for two years, the price was 10 euros. It would be ideal if the straps were reinforced and made of nylon. But it is really durable and tested by me in all weather conditions Really quality piece of equipment. One recommendation from me is to keep the leather part of the belt with skin cream, it is easy to renew it with any cream. many nice greetings from Croatia and I hope that the set will serve you for a very, very long time.

Very good bit of kit for such a low price. I tend to use horse grease on my leather stuff, but it is a very good tip to keep such things moisturised. Great to hear it is serving you well. Thank you very much for watching and expecially for taking the time to share your experience with the webbing. Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Good overview Tim, I got a set from Military Mart for modifying an LK 35 but it did not have the water bottle pouch and the pouches were different colours so I guess the kit was assembled from loose odds and ends. Good value for money for sure.

Hard to beat for a tenner. Military Mart is a great place for surplus stuff too. Got a bit of a soft spot for Endecotts surplus too. Mostly because they were overly generous when they got my order a bit wrong once. Very lucky to have Varusteleka here. I wish they stocked the LK35.

Had a look, serves the same function but for many times the price. Really does look a lot more comfortable though for long hikes. Would have to have it shipped here from France or the UK. Definetly worth thinking about. Thanks for the information Grizz. You are aware that they are made in China, right 😂🇨🇳.

I’ve got that webbing - tough as old boots I made side pockets for the lk35 from it the Nalgene oasis fits the water bottle pouch www.alpinetrek.co.uk/nalgene-everyday-oasis-water-bottle/ Can’t beat army surplus! all the best Mick

Cheers Mick, looking at that Nalgene bottle it does look like it probably would work. Might be a good option, pretty sure the standard Finnish army bottle would work too and like you said you can't beat army surplus. To be honest I think I prefer Nalgene when it comes to water bottles. Thanks for sharing that link mate. I will have a look and see if they are available in Finland.

@@KuukkeliBushcraft no problem, I like that one because it’ll take boiling water if you wanted to sterilise it when you were out

@@hackneeey I like Nalgene because they work great as a hot water bottle. It gets very cold here in the Arctic and it does make a big difference.

@@KuukkeliBushcraft I didn’t even think of that - it rarely gets that cold here - I’m on the outskirts of London , the coldest here last winter was -7 , Southern shandy drinking softies lol

hiya mate, curious to hear how tight that nalgene oasis bottle fits into the 304 canteen pouch. I've measured the dimensions of the pouch and it seems to make a tight fit for the bottle, possibly with the flaps being unbuttoned it would fit. Struggling to visualise it

Hi. Can you tell me how much one pocket pouch weighs?
@KuukkeliBushcraft Жыл бұрын
I am sorry I don't actually have anything to weigh them with. I can tell you that the dimensions are about 15 x 20 x 6 cm / 6" x 8" x 2.5" and that the material is quite heavy duty nylon. The weight is about what you would expect. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

@@KuukkeliBushcraft Thank you, I already know. Just in case, expecting that not everyone has a scale, I asked a few people. Answer: 375 g. Have a nice day!
