I am still looking for the download, I might want to buy the mx49 version. And I looked up vintage Yamaha mx49 so this came up. I didn't really see the ipad, but I guess to play those sounds I would need a touch screen device does it need to be an ios?! WOW so 100 voices on top of what this piano already has, and all vintage AWESOME REALLY!! Thanks for doing this, I am gonna look into it more, a direct link to download this would be super nice!

As already mentioned please refer to the Music Production Guide, 2016-09 ... www.easysounds.eu/MusicProductionGuide_2016_09_EN.pdf Reading this issue should cover each of your questions. 😉

Hey folks, a friend of mine got an MX keyboard and I am trying to find sounds for him. Is there a way to still download these patches? I tried to go to the links on the catalog (Easy Sounds) but they are all gone by now. :(

No worries. Just send an eMail with the subject "MX Goodies" to mxgoodies@easysounds.de and it should work.

Downloading... Thanks. Cool Webinars, do you know how can I create an original arpeggiator or a rythm in Mx49Bu? I tried with Vycro soft, but i only can create performances...
@coolwebinars_easysoundsshop7 жыл бұрын
Hi Alejandro, MX series doesn't support any kind of User Arpeggios. You can just use the Presets or work i.e. with an additional Notebook and Cubase AI.

Thanks for the answer, What i want to do is to create patterns to play in real time. I saw than one of these free packs came with midi files with chord names on it. It's just for use with cubase too?
@coolwebinars_easysoundsshop7 жыл бұрын
Yes. Referring to the Reference Manual (page 22) working with external MIDI data is just possible using a DAW.

I'm not aware of a free download from Yamaha - especially for the MX series - that came with MIDI files. Please let us know, what exactly you are referring to. MX series is not able to import MIDI data.

I`m talking about the mx performance kit. It has 3 folders, "performances", "WAV-Pool" and "MIDI Loops".

I totally can understand your frustration. But from the perspective of a developer Android can be a nightmare to support so many different devices and OS versions. This video really helps to get an idea about it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6Szk5aKmLqgmas

I have both the MX88 and the MX49. I really like a lot of the sounds..some are outstanding; However, for the most part, ALL the drum patches SUCK big time. I'd say that only a small handful are useful for live performance unless one is playing Techno, hip hop or such. Very little are useful for jazz, Latin jazz, or pop. Just my opinion base on what i enjoy playing

hello. why is called v2?
@coolwebinars_easysoundsshop7 жыл бұрын
It is the MX series V2 (MX BK/BU).

Is there any plan for an Android version? You're leaving a LOT of musicians out with this iOS only approach.
@coolwebinars_easysoundsshop7 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no Android in sight as far as I am aware of. 😳 You're probably right with your suggestion. But on the other hand it is much effort to keep all the different Android versions up to date in addition to iOS so I think this will just happen in some pretty rare cases when the target group for an app is really huge (like for DTX where Yamaha released one of the first Android apps).
@JohnChandler20066 жыл бұрын
Dave Smith android devices just arent setup for this..or any midi controlled apps. IOS is due to the kernel setup in the program and, hardware.

So this sounds are programmed with fm essential?
@coolwebinars_easysoundsshop7 жыл бұрын
A part of the performances are programmed to be played in combination of the MX and FM Essential like shown in the video. This only works with the last MX series (BU/BK/WH and even the MX88).

How do I find the mx version that can play wit FM ?
@bobcatt22946 жыл бұрын
Why are the MX-49 and the MX-61 of synths called Vintage when Yamaha currently sells the MX-88 version?
@AudioReplica20236 жыл бұрын
Mx Series is basically a collection of sounds from vintage Yamaha keyboards from DX series ,SP series, SY series, CS series and some from the Motif series sounds. Those are basically considered vintage keyboards today. Most of them were basically created using FM synthesis which made Yamaha so popular in the 80's. Those sounds have being technically making a come back to the modern music. Thats the reason you find them....matter fact I should say you STILL find them in new Yamaha keyboards.
@bobcatt22946 жыл бұрын
Thank you Isaac for your response and information. The word, "Vintage" sounds like the machine had older technology, however you made it clear that it is the sounds not the hardware, which is vintage.
@davebartholome29246 жыл бұрын
@@AudioReplica2023 Yes, 80s sounds are now considered "vintage." They still (mostly) sound bad to me, and, ironically, more dated than the vintage sounds of the 60s and 70s, like the Hammond B3, the Wurlitzer and Rhodes pianos, and the Clavinet. But those are just my opinions; I'm sure you know what you like.
@savagemako17 Жыл бұрын
Yamaha is still selling all the MX series keyboards today in 2023. They may not be cutting edge...that would explain the reasonable price, but they're hardly vintage machines. Just vintage sounds.
