Such a special band. So much talent and skill. They are all masters. Every member, able to play a solo and entertain the crowd. Willie, cat, ibo, carrot and even ritchie when he did the odd bass solo, able to bring the house down on their own. You add the poweful, doulful vocals of Rugs and you have the greatest music collective of all time. Together, for me, they are the greatest reggae band ever and the greatest band ever full stop. So many great songs, so many great albums and not only great in the studio but absolutely incredible live. Amazing performers. Never seen anything in their ball park before and maybe we never will again. My father is the biggest third world fan ever. He bought every album and went to every concert he could. Luckily for me, as a child, he took me with him to see them play live and introduced me to the music from i was in my mothers stomach. Absolutely incredible band, that has brought so much happiness and joy, to three generations of my family.

@bmaak5 жыл бұрын
Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts en Jamaïque...

Hi Alethia Bunny Clarke our lead singer and Irvin Carrot Jarrett our percussionist has earned their Angel’s wings and are resting with the Almighty . We miss them very much but their legacy lives on through the music . Who is still alive from this line up of Third World are Steven Cat Coore lead guitar and Chello player and Richard Daley bass guitarist they are still in Third World with a new line up of musicians . Michael Ibo Cooper who was the keyboard player and Leader at the time left Third World in 1997 along with myself Willie Stewart who was drummer and percussionist. We are still on Earth and Ibo works as a teacher with Edna Manley working with students in a great way and I also work in Florida with Students inspiring them through the power of music
