Amazing. This stove looks better than most of the flimsy-looking stoves today.

Nice and simple....doesn't get any better than that 👍. Have been dying to get a Trangia storm cooker for some time and finally bit the bullet about 2 weeks ago ordering a 25-7 UL from the UK as they're a bit difficult to source out here in Malaysia. Unfortunately it's caught up in the current UK mail strike so I'm still awaiting delivery ; usually the kit I order from the UK is here within 5-7 days. No worries, all good things are worth waiting for and I've still got my trusty Firebox Stove and Petromax Feuerkan to take care of the cooking and drinking in the meantime. Love the video and look forward to catching up with the backlog. Have subbed as well. ATVB from a Brit expat now retired in a sunny but very wet Malaysia - it's our rainy season out here right now 🌪

Ah yes the postal service strikes are causing havoc back home too. I'm waiting on a Trangia 28 to be delivered. Thanks for the sub.

The moment of epiphany! 😆 I've had my Trangia stove for a decade and just realised what that sliding lid is for. "Controlling the flame". - f****k ! 🤣 Gee I like your optional extras like the collapsible silicone cup it's a very interesting and practical cup. 🤔

Nice oldie and better made than the modern ones. I have a 27 from the mid 80s and it has the ordinary aluminium frying pan but I was surprised to find that my MSR Alpine stainless steel pan fits the stove perfectly. Worth noting if you are a stainless steel fan. I also prefer the lift off windshield over the current bayonet fit ones. It is a lot easier to lift that off using the grab handle in order to snuff out the burner.
@wildernesslifecraft8180

That's a good point about the lift off versus the bayonet version.

I bought my first Trangia in 1978, no idea of the number. I gave it to a friend who immigrated to Canada and he's still using it 46 years later.

I have the Trangia 25, from the early 80's, still going strong. I've added the non stick frying pan, the cutting board/strainer. And the little rack that fits inside, so you can use other pots and pans. So simple and easy to use. Are you in a planted Forrest? Not much ground clutter, or under growth.

The rack I still have to add. Its a high up forest and managed so thin on the ground.

Lovely video. Thank you. I love my Trangia 27 so far. Haven't cooked a whole lot yet, but I did pierogis yesterday (and posted a video) and they turned out just wonderful. Have you ever tried doing pierogis? The Trangia is the perfect cook set for them in my estimation. Cheers!

Did you know that preheating your skillet (including your oil) to a high temperature then add your simmering ring to reduce the temperature will make cooking most foods almost nonstick? Yep, even in the all aluminum pans. Works great when frying eggs or items that normally stick. Love my Trangia 27T STORMCOOKER and 28T Mini.

@@wildernesslifecraft8180 Thanks I will pick one up. A good spatula for a Trangia is the big flat spoon that comes with the electric rice cookers. Grind a flat on the front.

It's clearly managed woodland. This is a relatively small country with limited access to true wilderness. The term 'ancient woodland' is determined by the naturally occurring ecosystems and species it contains which take a certain number of centuries to stabilise.

Plenty of great hacks for that. The ancient plant horsetail, for example, is fairly abrasive and makes for a wonderful bushcraft scourer
