vintage treadle sewing machine restoration (kinda) || side quest

How I loved this. My mother had this machine and you took me right back to my childhood when I was tiny and used to sit on the treadle and my mother would rock me using her feet, and later, when I was older and how I used to sew furiously, and once got my toes caught under the treadle (don’t do it, it really really hurts 😊). How hard you worked! How skilled you are to persevere so until you got it just right. Have fun with it. I’m looking forward to seeing what you create with it. ❤

That's such a lovely memory! 💖 This is my first time sewing on a machine this old and it sews through so much fabric like butter! I'm making a (semi) historical 1890s corset with it! I'm excited to show it once it's done
