My favorite was the black bustier with black-and-white polka dot skirt. That outfit made you look like a 1950s movie star - absolutely fabulous! It’s so helpful to see how you style things. Thanks for sharing !!

Was so looking forward to seeing these pieces on!!! The polka dot skirt two piece is knockout Michele! Loved the white blouse with pleated/folded front and the understated apricot knit top is so wearable and very Miss Lemon! Wish I knew more about the very interesting fabric on the black dress! Really enjoyable video, thank you!!

It is amazing to me how old these pieces are and how well kept they are. I love all the clothes from the 30'-50's. So classy. These days I cry over women wearing yoga pants everywhere. I loved the "cobweb" design back dress. So freaking pretty. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pieces with us.

Yes, I'm always amazed when vintage pieces are in such good shape- it makes me so happy! A testament to how well they were made, as well! I'm also not a fan of yoga pants being worn everywhere, but I'm glad we have the option to wear them when we like! Thank you for watching and commenting! :)

What a fun way to do this in 2 parts. That way, neither seems rushed. Beautiful pieces. I do love the bathing set. It would be darling with a pair of red sailor shorts!!

You’re right- that set would be super cute with red shorts! Thank you for watching!

I discovered your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching your videos, I love them so much. There is something so sophisticated about the first dress, those 3 black, heavy buttons on that delicate sheer fabric creates such a beautiful contrast, also the cut is so clean and simple, it is definitely my favorite piece and I feel like it looks amazing on you. I’m a fashion designer and that dress inspired me to go sketch some things, thank you! Just an idea if you care, when you ever wear it out, pair it with some ivory earrings, maybe some huge pearls, something to carry on the color of the dress, I kept imagining it and I think it would be beautiful to create this area of stones in the upper part of the silhouette. 🖤

I suspect the unusual black dress is a 50s crocheted lace evening dress in a medallion pattern.

I had several favs. The first 2 gowns, the halter top I kept seeing paired with a jacket and large Chanel pearls giving it with the pencil skirt a pow full woman sexy vibe. The long sleeve white blouse made me think of Lagerfeld and Ralph Lauren pieces and the cha-cha dress had me visioning it at Spielberg's West Side Story premiere as a homage to Chita Rivera's red cha cha party gown.

I was just about to start writing how I could not possibly pick a favorite among these pieces…. But then the 11:28 blouse hit me…. Oh man…. For some reason I just adore it. And I am not even one who particularly likes white clothes. Just for some reason it completely stole my heart. I was also VERY caught off guard by the white dots on the black skirt. A nice touch on an already very cute outfit!

You know, it's so funny, but that blouse is my husband's favorite piece from this box too! He's mentioned it a few times. It is a great piece! I love the polka dots on the black skirt! So excited to wear that outfit once I get it tailored! Thank you for watching and commenting!

@@MyVintageLove It’s because it’s simple, but not boring, elegant, sexy, but demure at the same time. That blouse…. It really makes me wish I could sow. I knew someone who could see a dress in a magazine and recreate it. Sadly, I am not that talented.

@@MyVintageLove She was extremely talented. She made many of the garments I wore during carnaval time (we don’t do Halloween here, we dress up for carnaval) when I was a child. Including a long dress with a separate hoop skirt petticoat underneath. I loved it so much.

Everything looks amazing on you, it's hard to choose a favorite but I have a soft spot for all things Edwardian so I adored dress #2. Also really liked the peach-apricot? sweater. It fit you perfectly & I've always felt that silhouette was very flattering especially with a skirt or high waisted trousers. I did like the design & texture of the mystery black dress. I have seen modern crocheted pieces that looked similar, they usually felt a little stiff, almost like they were made from jute or hemp or some other natural fibre. Perhaps the detail of your dress is made from similar materials? I couldn't tell if it was stitched (embroidered) into the cloth or something sewn onto the cloth or if the cloth itself was just woven into that pattern/design. I'm not being very helpful I'm afraid...
@MyVintageLove3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! The fabric of the "mystery" black dress did feel very rough, almost like it was made from jute or hemp- that's a really good idea, actually!

I hope it’s OK to ask this question: What style did you call the black hat? I didn’t catch it, though I rewound it a few times? Maybe it’s because I’m an elderly Aussie, and, I guess, you wouldn’t catch my accent either! Although I generally find your accent pleasantly easy to follow. 😘🇦🇺😊

No problem! It's called a saucer hat (I believe). Glad that my accent is generally easy to understand, lol!
