About JamesandKarla:
Hey everyone! We are husband-and-wife architectural/interior photographers based in NYC. We started our video channel to act an artistic intervention to help raise awareness of the importance of small independently-owned businesses and the unique character these shops add to the streets and neighborhoods of New York City.

EB Gray the Erotica album truly was a magical find as it is such a rare vinyl. We have already listened to it and it sounds amazing! It definitely was never played. We look forward to visiting the shop again as Mike told us he is constantly getting new collections and we could easily spend hours digging through everything. I've been to this store last March 2022. It's funny you mentioned Zig Zag Records. I was a manager there from 1978-1980 in Brooklyn. I was the night Manager for Colony Records from 1987 - 2000 on Broadway. I've been watching a lot of your videos and know a lot of the same people. I knew Jimmy from Trash & Vaudeville. I know most of the food and record shops that you visited. I was laughing when you went to Sammy's. We had an older gentlemen by the name of Ruben, who would hang out at Colony Records. Ruben also played violin at Sammy's restaurant. I also worked at Norman;s sound & Vision. in 2001.
