vilambit is beautiful on goddess durga. i am a staunch devotee of devi. and in one of my favorite raags also, raag darbari kannada. sung beautifully in the voice of sangeet martand pundit jasraj. just devine. pranams. jai ho. thank you for uploading

Mishraji, yahan to saare yogihi hote hai. Uske bina possible nahi. All these stalwarts, Jasraji, Bhimsenji, Kishoritai, Kumarji, Abhishekibua and many like them. They at least tried to take us close to Samadhi. All we can do is, try and experience it. Hope we keep having more like them. Regards.

@ dave stokes. The first composition that is being sung is a vilambit or slow composition and it is about Ma durga, who is the hindu goddess of shakthi and courage. the second composition that is being sung is a drut composition or fast composition( not sure what it is about as I am not that fluent in hindi). but it is in poetic hindi which is one of the major languages in India. both compositions are in an indian classical raga called darbari kannada. i hope this helps.
