I️ just started coughing from laughing to hard. Ren goes “I’m gonna gonna go fiddle with my deck somewhere else” right as Keralis walks in and goes “fiddle with your whaaat?” And Beef has to go “he said deck Keralis”

You know, when you were still building the game, I loved every single one of the episodes. While you were worried that it might be boring/repetitive. I enjoyed it so much that I didn't even think about what you'd do once you're finished. And now you're releasing these amazing uncut talkie episodes, and I almost love them even more. Absolutely amazing season for you, Beef. I've said it before, but your passion for this project is palpable and infectious. Thank you!

I think hermit craft has a plugin which they can bring maps from previous seasons. Ex. Season 8 Scar has maps of his Season 7 mayor run. So this TCG would be cemented for future Hermit Craft Season. If anyone one else OR Beef decide to take on the project again, they could release a new set that could go well with this season 9 set.

I consume most of hermitcraft in podcast form as white noise, so these are perfect for me! Unfortunately the duplicated matches probably aren't great for the hermits retention. What if you replaced one of the counter corners with an upsidedown shulker, (for the texture), and fill it with Scarland snacks and/or merch. what i love is how much it reminds me of real gaming shops back in the day, you got the owner of a little indie game shop that spends all day at the store and then a bunch of regulars are always there just hanging out . back in the early 80s i was in my tweens and once or twice a month my dad would take me to this cool mall across own that had an awesome game shop and i use to collect and paint those lead Dungeons and Dragons miniatures. and that was always the mood in there, the guy that ran the place sitting at the counter and some of his friends and regulars all standing around joking with each other. good tines good memories.

I know tournaments are a ways out, but it would be interesting to see a "booster draft" for keeps tournament run. You could have it so every player buys 1 starter pack, and 1 booster pack (or some predetermined combination of packs), and play or keeps. Then, between each round, they'd be able to remake their decks from the pool of cards they aquired for the tournament.

I feel like instead of wiping out all the opposing hermits being a win condition, there should be a yu-gi-oh style method, where after wiping out the hermits, you then attack the player themself , which counts as one more hermit knockout per attack. Which potentially gives the player one more extra round to draw a hermit. It at least would give you a chance to come back from a really bad opening couple turns.

Beef If you design more hermit cards in the future, you should add an attack that launches the opponent's hermit to air and fall back down. I guess either explorer (because of elytra item card) or prankster type would be fit for this. And the way to counter this attack is water bucket. But then water bucket might only have single use but if community could figure out the balance it'd be such a great addition

I have an idea. Since there is a card that heals everyone on board by 20hp I wonder if there was an ultra rare that could deal 20 hp damage to all opponent hermits on board. For the card design, it could be a creeper, firework or an end crystal.

I think one way to avoid confusion when doing turns in TCG games is to do them in preparation phase (place cards and state your moves) and then execution phase or action phase (do the card changes in the board). I think it's better so that players will do effects in the right time than doing them after attacking.

A couple of rule changes to bring more balanced game play. 1) Hermit card would need to have an energy card attached to be played. a) it would make first level attacks more valuable b) increase the the strategic decisions made around energy cards 2) Have a minimum hand size of 5 cards a) a player would replenish the hand back up to five cards at their draw b) make flint and steel, composter, and chest more important c) less on "luck of draw" and on strategy

It occurred to me watching this video that having 3 "prize" cards doesn't work unless you are playing to win cards from the other player's deck. In matches where you just get your own cards back whenever you take out an opposing hermit, one of your 42 cards will never be available to play as it can only be retrieved after you've taken out the third hermit and the game is over.

Beefers, this game you have created, it may have ALL the hermits hooked, but it has also got all of us hooked. I have never played a TCG at all but I would LOVE to join in on this fun

As you trust hermit they won't steel from you shop, you can trust the hermit when you leave TCG coins in arena. You can leave TCG coins in the arena so hermit can take from it when the win or lose.

I love these types of videos, where hermits hanging around and just chatting, sorta like the behind the camra in movies

Hey beef! I have a couple of ideas about cards you could make if you’re still thinking about expansion packs. One that lets you play multiple single use cards a turn would be very sought after, it could be like a multishot book or something like that that lets you play three single use effect cards including itself so basically let’s you play an extra single use card. You could also make like a respawn anchor card that lets you take a hermit card from your discard and put it directly into play would be cool too. I really love the game and all the videos! Good work!

We need this game in the world. It's so good you did an amazing job on it and it's amazing. Even if you can just get the random starter decks and one of each booster that's still amazing

I just want to point out that since some Hermits are getting more tokens and trading advantages in this game , most of them are having a very op build atm that could make the game easier for them. I think it's better to give everyone some kind of level playing field by adjusting something: My suggestion is to simply put a limit of Rare/Ultra rare hermits to be allowed in a deck so that the common cards will not become obsolete. As most of the Hermits that got a lot of card purchases are only putting Rare Hermits (2 to 3 copies of the same card) in there decks atm.
