This car is just gorgeous , I’m 18 years old and currently drive a 2019 final edition vw beetle , im in love with the car. Would be a absolute dream to own an older bug like a 65-67 🥹😍

I am so anxious to see this project progress. When my wife and I got married 50 years ago, she had a '67 and I had a '70. We really didn't know much about cars other than they were good at getting you from point A to point B faster than walking or riding a bicycle. Last year we decided we wanted another Beetle to use as our tow car with our Class C motorhome. I had hoped to find a '67 but it's rare to find and affordable one so we settled on another '70. It's such a fun car to own and everywhere we go, people want to tell us stories about the Beetles they had so many years ago. We've learned that there are no short outings with the Beetle because someone is going to see it and want to talk about it. And now I have a cousin who is bugging the heck out of me to buy our '70. I've told him he can buy it once I'm dead and gone.......

I definately Click LIKE for your amazing Video....! About the IRS Conversion, do ask Vw Expert to Recheck the Accuracy of the Welded Pivot Brackets as a Wrong or Inaccurate Jigs will also make the IRS Setup Inaccurate and Bind. I am Looking forward to your Next Video.

You really are lucky to have good connections. My VW Beetle 1974 is in dire need of the floors replacements, heater channels are rusted out and the Napoleon Head bottom is also rusted. Of course many other areas are in need of lot of work. I will be watching the finishing of the 68 and will be looking forward for the rebuilt of the 67. Power to the air cools!

Actually it’s the original pan. Or I should say …..chassis. I ran the numbers on it it came back to the 67. But they definitely swapped over to and IRS without kit that you can buy.

Hahahah lol @ Arnold "You must pull harder". Love ur sense of humor lol!! Ya know i ran into a "Heater Channel" problem on my '72 Ghia and i was quoted $7000 12 years ago. Is it still this much now a days to have a professional install these? So you basically saved urself a lotta $$

In the video, Slade said never turn the crank pulley to see if the engine turns over without the distributor on. Could you explain that rule?

Absolutely sir! When you don’t have the distributor in, it doesn’t hold the drive gear down into place. So when you’re turning the crankshaft pulley, and the distributor is not in place to hold the gear down, it will start tearing the teeth off of the drive gear.

It’s definitely a 67, according to the vin. Needs some things addressed to get it back to 67.

Had a disc conversion on the front and a irs conversion on the back. It was mention in the video. Chassis numbers come back to a 67!

Those are not 1967 model turn signal lamps…they are much newer vintage.
