The DuraGrade is really meant to be use as your one and only coating. The Rust Bullet Industrial and Rust Bullet Automotive can be used as a primer.

the olden days with bitumen base made such a mess especially if you use degreasers on engine bays and it runs back underneath and lifts the sound deadener love your videos champ

I did the wire wheeling on my Comet. It was pretty harsh. Like you I did not get everything off. Would be next to impossible working on your back. I just used regular black paint but I may re coat it one day. Seeing the underside of the car black and clean is very satisfying !

I have used POR15 in the past. Not a big fan of it. Will definitely have to use Rust Bullet next time. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Good info Slade. I think these kinds of videos are very interesting, but I read shop manuals for entertainment. I'm sure a lot of people are looking for just this type of info. Sometimes I think I'm nuts for all the time I put in wire wheeling stuff and wonder how other people do it. It felt good seeing someone else fighting the same fight. Maybe I'm not as crazy as my Rice Krispies say I am.

How about a video on how to get into the trunk area when the cable is stretched and will not release the latch. Trunk is stuck and cable is not releasing the trunk for access on a 73 standard I have found and am considering on purchasing if I can find the owner.
